Orisia Gammell is Chief Trade & Compliance Counsel at Lumentum, where she leads the Global Trade Compliance function. In this role, she oversees policies, procedures, tariff mitigation strategies, and risk management initiatives to ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations. She advises on cross-border transactions, export controls, sanctions, and customs matters, partnering with business leaders to support global growth while safeguarding the company’s legal and ethical standards. With deep expertise in international trade law, Ms. Gammell engages with regulators and stakeholders worldwide to promote transparency, integrity, and operational excellence across Lumentum’s global operations.

Previously, Ms. Gammell served as Chief Legal Counsel & Head of the Export Control Innovation Team at SAP, where she advised on U.S. export control and sanctions laws and led a team in developing innovative compliance solutions for SAP’s global program. Earlier in her career, she practiced law in the private sector, advising clients across industries on import, export, and sanctions compliance, designing comprehensive global compliance programs, and training business leaders worldwide.

Beyond her corporate role, Ms. Gammell is a recognized leader in the international trade community. She served as President of the Organization of Women in International Trade (WIIT) in Washington, D.C., from 2023 to 2024 and currently serves as WIIT’s Vice President of Technology.
